Red Wine Overview
Red wine is rich in antioxidant compounds which possess a diverse array of actions that may prevent diseases related to inflammation. These polyphenolic compounds have been found to have gene-mutating effects that inhibit both the uptake of cholesterol by cells and a specific inflammatory process known as 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX).
