Chondroitin Overview
Chondroitin is a major component of cartilage. Supplemental chondroitin sulfate is derived from natural animal sources, such as bovine cartilage. Chondroitin may play a positive role osteoarthritis, because it may preserve joint cartilage. Chondroitin is frequently used in combination with glucosamine.
