Bioflavonoids Overview
Bioflavonoids are found in many plant foods, including all citrus fruits. The citrus bioflavonoids include hesperidin, quercitrin, rutin and tangeritin. They posses antioxidant activity and are known to increase the absorption and utilization of vitamin C. Also, citrus bioflavonoids may work in conjunction with vitamin C to help protect and preserve the structure of capillaries.
