Any injury in the legs that keeps you from moving around much can put you at increased risk. Most people don’t have much to worry about, but experts feel more people should be aware that minor injuries can result in clotting.

What do you look for? Swelling and pain beyond the original site of the injury could mean a clot has formed. In addition, pain in the chest or sudden feelings of shortness of breath might be symptoms of a clot. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor right away and get in for a check-up.
